More Florida Pics

Today (Sunday) we went to Downtown Disney and walked around. It is an area of specialty shops and restaurants.

Clearwater Beach

We decided to head out of Orlando for the day, so we went to Clearwater Beach. The girls aren't really into the water in the ocean, so we only stayed on the beach for about an hour. Plus it is ridiculously hot in and out of the water on the Gulf coast. We took them shopping at a typical beach store where they each bought sea shell necklaces. We finished the afternoon by eating at a restaurant called Crabby Bills near Tampa. Then we headed back to our hotel in Orlando and the girls played in the pool for quite awhile before we headed to our room and called it a night.

Florida

Picture for Aunt Cindy.

Abby looks like she's going to eat Cookie Monsters arm.

Daytona Raceway for Aaron. Its a huge, newer racetrack that seemed to
go on forever.

Finally got the girls to Florida. Me and the girls arrived Wednesday night, and Chuck arrived Thursday by truck. We met up in Daytona Beach and ate at Bubba Gumps. We had planned on swimming in the ocean, but as we were driving the last couple miles it started to storm. It lasted over an hour and poured so much rain that the temperature was down to 76 by the time we got done eating and walked down to the beach. The girls had fun walking on the beach and collecting tiny seashells. Abby screamed when I tried to get her to walk in the waves, so it was a good thing we couldn't swim anyways. On the 2nd full day we went to Sea World. It was fun and the girls enjoyed a couple of the shows, but it was so ridiculously hot that you felt like you were walking around in a sauna all day. And to add to the steam, there was another storm while we were there and a couple small rain showers. We came back early tonight and swam in the hotel pool. We haven't decided what we plan on doing tomorrow yet. We still have Magic Kingdom to do, but not the next day after walking all day at Sea World. Maybe we will just do something relaxing tomorrow.
