New Shoes and Tuesday's pictures

Mom sent me a picture from when they went to get Abby new shoes. All the little shoes look so cute. No wonder Abby had fun.

Abby likes Aaron. How could she not? He will be such a great big brother. She has her cell phone in her hands here. Mom says she likes playing with it, as well as her ball.

She is going to steal my daddy. I don't like sharing my daddy. I'm supposed to be Daddy's girl.

She is just so cute! I can't wait until they bring her home.

Abby has not been too happy at all yet, but boy is she cute.

Mom says Abby likes clothes and shoes. They went out and bought her some new shoes. She also like her toy cell phone and ball, as well as her big brother.

Made it to China

Mom called at 9:00 our time and said that they had made it to China. Everyone was very tired, so they were going to find their luggage and their guide and get to their hotel to sleep. They will be meeting Abby in the morning (8:00 pm tonight for us). I will put up pictures once they send some.

On their way to China now

Mom, Dad, Aaron, and Uncle Howard should all be on their way to China now. I saw them off at the airport at 7:00, and their flight was at 8:40. They stop first in New Jersey, and then they should be in Beijing by 2:00 am Sunday (my time, 3:00 pm their time). They have a five hour layover in Beijing, before their flight to Ghaungzhou. They should have Abby by Sunday evening!

I can't believe their actually gone. We have been waiting for so long it seemed like it would never actually happen.

Two more weeks

We were given a Consulate Appointment for March 13th, Chuck's birthday. So we will in China the first two weeks of March to bring Abby home, finally.

We were able to send a package to New Day with some gifts for Abby and her foster family. We sent Abby some crayons, coloring books, and a pink Pittsburgh Steelers zipper sweatshirt, and we also sent some really good chocolate for her foster mom. We got pictures today of Abby with her gifts. Though she doesn't look particularly happy at the moment:

There are also new pictures of Abby on the New Day website. It sounds like Abby likes to eat a lot, she'll fit right in our family: Chinese New Year at New Day

Pictures

Mom didn't want to post her pictures or say too much about Abby until she actually got approval from China, but she came across some pictures and information about a little girl online that is most likely our Abby on the webpage for New Day Creations Foster Home

Our Abby

This news is several weeks old now, but I still thought it was worth mentioning. On Monday, September 18 the La Vida's Special Waiting Child list came out and after a crazy morning of getting doctors to help fill out the application, my parents applied for one of the little girls on the list. A couple hours later they received pre-approval from La Vida, and now they are waiting on approval from China. Our Abby is 16 months old has cute, chubby cheeks. She was on the special needs list for a cleft lip that has been repaired and a cleft palette that has yet to be corrected. I hope things go smoothly and my parents get approved soon because I can't wait to give that cute little girl a hug.
